Formed in Houston, Texas in 2003 by entrepreneurs
William David and Brad Jenkins, and Charles Skamser, BidQuote invested over 3,000 man-hours
in the design and development of its web based RFP Marketplace
Development Platform (“RMDP”) technology and released BidQuote™
Version 1.0 in early mid 2003. Upon completion of the
BidQuote™ RMDP, the Company wanted to validate its technology.
Therefore, utilizing its new platform, it developed an initial prototype
RFP marketplace called LitBid.com.
Completing the development of LitBid.com in late 2003, the Company spent
the majority of 2004 proving the validity of their business model by
successfully launching LitBid.com into the to litigation document
management industry market. Having developed a sizable vendor membership
and user base that generated a respectable revenue stream in 2004, in
January of 2005, the Company sold the LitBid.com marketplace to an
online litigation Application Service Provider (“ASP”).
LitBid.com is now successfully operating under www.litbureau.com.
In March of 2005, BidQuote hired Inknowvations, a well known global
business management consulting firm to develop a global business
strategy, raise an initial round of funding to expand the business into
additional markets and open up a presence in additional geographical
locations.
On March 30, 2005, Charles Skamser, a founding partner with BidQuote and
a Senior Partner with Inknowvations
agreed to take on the role of President and CEO for BidQuote to lead the
company through this explosive growth phase. Under Mr. Skamser's
leadership, the company planned to raise an initial round of funding,
more fully develop the corporate staff and infrastructure, develop a
corporate imagine and enter into partnerships to support several
additional RFX marketplaces in 2005.
In July of 2005 BidQuote Licensed the BidQuote™ technology to The
Association of Work Process Improvement (“TAWPI”) and entered into a
partnership to develop TAWPIeBidSolutions.org, TAWPI’s RFP
marketplace.
TAWPIeBidSolutions.org launch ed on November 1, 2005
